Managed Jenkins Summer Upgrade: 2.516.1 – Rolling Out 3rd August 2025

Tas Skoudros
Managed Jenkins Update
This update brings important security improvements, bug fixes, and performance enhancements designed to keep your environments running smoothly and securely.
We’re excited to announce that on Sunday, 3rd August 2025, we’ll be upgrading our managed Jenkins controllers from version 2.504.2 to 2.516.1.
What’s Changing
One of the biggest changes in this release is the move from Blue Ocean to the new Pipeline Graph View plugin.
Blue Ocean plugins removed
Pipeline Graph View enabled
Why the switch? Blue Ocean, while feature‑rich, was resource‑intensive. Pipeline Graph View is lighter, faster, and easier to use — freeing up resources for your workloads while offering a modern, intuitive interface. We’re genuinely impressed by the community effort behind this plugin and believe it’s a big step forward.
Highlights from Jenkins 2.516.1
UI & Navigation: refreshed header and modernized layout
Performance: reduced memory usage for large build logs
Build Page: improved status reporting and widget behavior
Plugin Manager: now includes plugin health scores for better insights
Security: enhanced cookie handling and CSRF protection
